It's been a while since my last blog post; I've been a very busy bee. I've spent all of September training in a new job, so I haven't had the chance to even think about autumn's arrival. However, heading to the bus station yesterday after my early shift, I cut through a nearby park and was greeted by the most gorgeous orange leaves scattered all over, and it suddenly dawned on me - my favourite season is finally here! Misty mornings, dark evenings, bundling up in big coats, putting on your fluffiest socks, warming your hands round a bowl of soup, picking up conkers, lighting sparklers and putting cinnamon on everything. It's pure magic to me. The first day I step out in a woolly scarf will be a good day.
I thought I'd share some autumnal inspiration today. I'm especially excited for autumn (and winter) this year, probably because it means that 2020 is almost over. Not that Covid-19 is going away any time soon, but I feel like autumn brings new beginning and fresh starts. It makes me want to declutter the house, discover a new look, go somewhere I've never been before and delve into a new hobby. It makes me feel like I'm starting a new chapter of my life.
